EFT Tapping Therapy· Northwich, Cheshire
EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), often called “tapping,” is a gentle method that combines talking about what is going on for you with tapping on specific points on the face and body.
It is used to support emotional well-being by helping the mind and body settle while you focus on a specific thought, feeling, or experience.
EFT is considered an evidence-based approach to stress reduction, with research (including studies by Dr Peta Stapleton and colleagues) showing positive effects on stress levels and emotional regulation.
Sessions are available in person in Northwich, Cheshire and online.
During an EFT session, we gently focus on a specific issue while tapping on a sequence of points on the body.
This process helps support the nervous system and can reduce the intensity of the emotional response connected to that experience.
Over time, this allows the mind to create more distance from the issue, so it feels less overwhelming and easier to process.
EFT can be used to support a wide range of emotional experiences, including:
Stress & anxiety
Including generalised and social anxiety
Feeling overwhelmed
Recurring thought patterns and emotional reactivity
Trauma & PTSD
Releasing the emotional weight of past experiences
Fears & phobias
Gently and without reliving experiences
Limiting beliefs
The quiet inner stories that keep you stuck
Low confidence
Self-esteem and self-worth
Grief & loss
Processing what's been hard to put into words
Physical pain
Where emotional holding contributes to physical symptoms
EFT does not erase what has happened.
Instead, it helps change the emotional intensity connected to it, so it feels easier to move forward.
We begin with a conversation about what you would like support with.
We then use EFT tapping together while focusing on that specific issue, working gently and at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Sessions are calm, guided, and supportive — with space to pause and check in as needed.
EFT helps you feel less emotionally "pulled into" certain thoughts or experiences.
This creates more clarity, calm, and space so you can respond to life rather than feel overwhelmed by it.
